Based on 676 reviewsYin’s Sourdough Bakery & Cafe (Mid Valley) is widely appreciated for its specialty in sourdough-based bakery items, offering a variety of flavorful and well-textured products such as avocado toast, mushroom baguettes, and unique pizza toppings. The cafe is noted for its inviting atmosphere, spacious seating, and friendly, attentive service, creating a pleasant dining experience. Customers often praise the quality and creativity of both food and beverages, including distinctive coffee options and refreshing drinks like kefir lemonade. While most finds are favorable, some items receive mixed feedback regarding sweetness levels and texture preferences. Overall, Yin’s balances good pricing with a diverse menu, making it a popular spot for a casual meal or a relaxing break.
Really enjoyed the avocado toast, it was flavourful and the onions gave it a nice kick. The sourdough had a great crunch too. We also tried the banana cheese toast; it was a bit too sweet for me. Might be better with a little less sweetness, as it got a bit much after a few bites. The kefir lemonade drink was refreshing, and the cafe latte was alright. Service was friendly and attentive. Also, I like the menu as the images are big and bright.
Yin Sourdough is famous for their sour dough as per their shop name. They use sour dough as their base for most of their bakery, thus you will have the slightly tender texture on the bakery. Coffee is definitely good, fragrant and smooth. Tried the mushroom baguette, very great texture and taste and with super huge portion. Also tried the mango chicken pizza, the mango was added later on as topping, the pizza itself doesn’t has much flavor to it, only great sour dough texture as base. Located at the less crowded area in Mid Valley, thus very peaceful.
[holiao] 1) Overall - Cafe specialised in sourdough's products, great environment, nicely decorated, friendly service, spacious seating capacity, offers variety of food and drink such as paneer, pasta, avocado toast, apple pie, kombucha, healthy food, aglio olio, quinoa wrap, kefir, lasagna and many more from Yin’s Sourdough Bakery & Cafe (Mid Valley) 2) Mushroom Cheeseboat Baguette - crispy baguette loaded with creamy cheese and earthy mushrooms. Rich, savory, and indulgent—perfect comfort bite with a satisfying crunch and gooey center. highly recommended 3) grilled mango chicken sourdough pizza - their pizza crust is to die for, slightly sour and so easy to digest, wont feel guilty after having a couple of slices. 4) coffee - aromatic and strong.
Good environment and nice food. Price reasonable. Service crew Ponir was friendly and good service. Will visit again next time
Take a break, have some cakes and coffee at Yin’s. The basque burnt cheesecake is flavourful and milky enough, not too dry, not too moist. Lemon poppyseed cake could have been more zestful in texture, would prefer it to be more compact. The rose latte gives a different twist in aroma. I will still prefer the ye old Caffè latte. Overall, ambience is just good for a break and moderate noise level for chatting.
